Aggressor Safari Lodge - Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has maritime borders with India to the northwest and the Maldives to the southwest. Its documented history spans 3,000 years, with evidence of pre-historic human habitation dating back to at least 125,000 years. Its geographic location and deep harbors made it of great importance from the time of the ancient Silk Road thorough to World War II.

 

The Aggressor Safari Lodge is located on a spacious 6-acre property and 20 minutes from the Wilpattu National Park. The beautiful property is located on the Kala Oya River, which is the 3rd longest river in Sri Lanka and borders Wilpattu National Park on the other side giving the river view tents direct views of the park.

The lodge has a main reception, dining tent, entertainment area with a 54 inch TV, 8-luxury private tented chalets, large swimming pool and beautiful grounds with animal life. The luxury dining tent is located at the rear of the outdoor reception and bar area and is called the Aliya Bush Restaurant (local for elephant).

 

The Aggressor Safari Lodges is located in the north near Wilpathu and Minneriya National Parks. Guests will be treated to exciting jeep safaris in both parks, seeing the amazing flora and fauna of the parks natural jungle habitat. You will also visit 2 World Heritage Sites, the 3rd century BC ancient city in Anuradhapura, home to the largest stupa (monument housing relics) in the Buddhist world. Also the 5th century AD Sigiriya Rock Palace, which are the most valuable historical monuments of Sri Lanka and known as the 8th Wonder of the World. The lodge stay also includes a full day excursion to Monkey Kingdom, Sri Lanka’s Primate Center. As an extension of the Smithsonian Institution, the studies on these primates were recently highlighted by Disney in the film “Monkey Kingdom”. Guests will be able to observe the primates in their natural habitat.
